COVID-19 Update from The Baobab Cultural Center
Hello friends and supporters,
We are committed to the safety of our visitors, members and staff. In an effort to be proactive against the recent COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, we will close and suspend all programs and events until April 1, or beyond if needed. Social distancing is the recommended practice at this time. The health and wellness of our visitors, members and staff is paramount. If you would like to participate in remote yoga classes over the next few weeks via Zoom, please send us an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will perform a thorough cleaning of the center and we are closely monitoring the developments and guidelines from the CDC, and the New York State and Monroe County Departments of Public Health.
Contemplate taking this time to de-stress and care for you and your family, your home and to reflect towards positive outcomes. These are challenging times and many in our community are vulnerable and will need extra support to endure the potentially crippling effects of complete shutdown. Please also think of how we can safely lend a helping hand and work together to care and provide strength for our village by calling and checking on friends, co-workers, neighbors and loved ones.
Please consider donating to The Baobab and/or other local community organizations and businesses during this period of uncertainty. We are thankful for your support over the last fifteen years. We would not be here without YOU!
Stay safe and healthy.
